Every treatment starts with a thorough consultation with our Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber. We take a full medical history and talk honestly about what you would like to achieve.
Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine, so we will only recommend treatment if it is safe and right for you. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The treatment
Small amounts are injected into the skin of the affected area using very fine needles. Most people describe it as tiny pin-pricks. The appointment takes around 30 minutes.
Aftercare
Discomfort is minimal and most people go straight back to their day. You may have mild bruising, swelling or redness, which settles within a few days. For 24 hours, avoid intense exercise, make-up, alcohol and touching the treated area. Avoiding smoking also helps your results. Read our full aftercare advice.
Your results
Results begin to show within 2 to 5 days and reach their full effect at around 2 weeks, when we recommend a review appointment. Treatment is repeated every 3 to 4 months to keep sweating under control, and we will let you know when your next one is due.
