Your consultation
Every treatment starts with a consultation. We take a full medical history, look closely at your skin and talk honestly about what you would like to achieve, so we only recommend treatment that is safe and right for you. We will check that the area is suitable and take photographs for your records.
The treatment
We measure the depth of fat with a gentle pinch test and map the area with a grid. The Aqualyx® solution is mixed with a local anaesthetic for comfort and given as a series of small injections, then the area is massaged. The appointment takes around 45 minutes.
Aftercare
Swelling, discolouration, tenderness and bruising are common, and the area can stay tender for a few weeks. A cold compress (not directly on the skin) can help. Keep massaging the area at home for several days, drink at least 2 litres of water a day, keep the area clean and dry, and avoid the sun and sunbeds. Read our full aftercare advice.
Your results
Results usually show 4 to 8 weeks after your first or second session. Depending on the area, we recommend a course of 2 to 8 sessions, at least 4 weeks apart. Results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and a healthy lifestyle.
